In our newsletter January 22nd, we explained that CHS will be providing direct support to CSBs to create a Community Value Profile to spotlight information about community return on investment (ROI). Think of a Community Value Profile as a concise depiction of the value your organization delivers to the community it serves. The resulting product can be published on your website or used to inform presentations and reports for your organization. We are offering this service as part of our existing support program at no additional cost to your CSB.

Please see below an outline of the process for this project, the spreadsheet template for you to fill out, and a video overview.

In the video (below) we give an overview of the Community ROI Model, the Excel spreadsheet we will use to collect CSB data, and the template visualization that spotlights aspects of the ROI model. This video is meant for your staff members at your CSB who will be working with CHS to update your ROI information. We ask that you please watch this video before working through the Excel template.

The process for this project will be as follows:

  1. CSB staff watch the 8-minute video overview of the process and the tools
  2. CSB staff download the spreadsheet
  3. CSB staff fill out the spreadsheet with data that your team feels will add to your value story. Leave blank any indicators you do not want include.
  4. CSB sends CHS the completed spreadsheet ideally by Friday, February 8th, but no later than Friday, February 15th.
  5. Community Health Solutions (CHS) will import your data into our Community Value Profile template and contact you with any questions about the data.
  6. CHS will send your CSB a draft of the report, for your review of accuracy.
  7. Once finalized, CHS will deliver back to your CSB a flat file of the report that can be downloaded as a PDF for printing or distribution.
  8. At the option of your CSB, CHS will also publish the final Community Value Profile visualization online and send your CSB the “embed code” for you to include on your website. If you choose to do so, we recommend that each CSB write some introductory/explanatory language that would be above the visualization on your website.
